After suffering a first-round playoff upset in the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers last year, the Chicago Bulls have a chip on their shoulder coming into this season. However, it will be a different Bulls team that will take the court.

Chicago won’t have Derrick Rose back yet. The former MVP is still recovering from an ACL injury and won’t return until early 2013. In the offseason, the Bulls made numerous moves, letting go of CJ Watson, Omer Asik, and Kyle Korver and acquiring Nate Robinson, Nazr Mohammed, Marco Belinelli, Vladimir Radmanovic and Kirk Hinrich, whom they drafted in 2003.

Similarly, the Grizzlies are also looking to build on what they accomplished last season after falling to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs in seven games. Memphis still has their core intact, but lost the services of OJ Mayo to the Dallas Mavericks. They did add Flip Murray, Jerryd Bayless and Wayne Ellington to the roster. The Grizzlies still have one of the most formidable frontlines in the league with a healthy Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, who came off a superb outing in the London Olympics.
